Practice Statement:

"Massage therapy is applied with the intent of producing a therapeutic outcome, assessing physical function and treating dysfunction caused by injury or disease in order to rehabilitate or augment physical function or relieve pain, thus promotiong health of soft tissue and joints of the body."

The Alberta Registered Massage Therapist Society is a not-for-profit organization of massage therapists established in 1996.
